About Mariola K. Paini

Artist Mario la Kasprzak Paini was born in Poland, Mariola's father discovered
her exceptional talent when she was yet a small child. He encouraged this talent
throughout her youth by sending her to the fines Art Colleges in Europe for training
in the classic style on the "Masters".
She study drawing, painting under the direction of such master artists as Jerzy
Duda-Gracz, the acclaimed sculptor Boleslaw Chromy, and other notable artist.
Mariola was honored by being selected for further intensive program that took her
to Florence and Venice, where she was trained in the detailed skills of the
Renaissance master artists. From there she was sent to Paris to learn the techniques
of impressionist master painters. Mariola received her Master of Fine Arts degree at
the University of Cracow in 1986 and went on to further study at acclaimed
academies , New York, Nigeria and University California Irvine. She received her
second degree in "Graphic Design and Visual Communication" form University of
California Irvine. Mariola’s artistic talents include an amazing ability to create oil
paintings and copies of renaissance “classics” with such precise detail that only an
expert can detect the difference between her work and the original piece.
In the Jubilee Year 2000, Mariola traveled with her family on a pilgrimage to the
tomb of Saint Padre Pio at the Basilica San Giovanni Rotondo in Italy. Inspired by
that visit, she painted a portrait of the saint and has dedicated the past eight years to
creating original works depicting portraits of the saints.
This talented artist has participated in several well-known and highly acclaimed
European exhibits including Krakow’s “Sanctuary of Divine Mercy,” where artists
from around the world display their work; also the exhibition “Sacred Art” held
annually in Grand Sasso, Italy. Her work was exhibited at the famous “Ancora-
Milan” and others. Mariola works from her studio located in Costa Mesa,
California where she lives with her husband and their two teen-aged daughters. With
her family, she spends each summer working and studying in Italy, France,
Germany, Spain, Portugal, Czech and Poland and has produced a special exhibit:
The Gallery of the Saints. Mariola's work to date comprises nearly seven hundred
drawings and paintings. Late Blessed Pope John Paul II has four of her drawings at
the Vatican in Rome and has publicly recognized her as “ the exceptional artist of
the saints.” of our times
